Helping Out is What YHB Does
YHB pitched in to help for VSCPA Day of Service 2011. It may only take a couple of hours to volunteer, and yet, it helps hearts for years to come.
The YHB Culpeper office took time from work to serve lunch to those in need. Each week Manna Ministry provides a free meal to anyone in need of help. Last Wednesday about 65 guests arrived for a hot lunch. YHB staff served lunch with a side of nice conversation with the guests. Many guests are regulars and are known by name, and all guests are respectful and nice. YHB also helped with the clean up after the noon meal. “I’m very
proud to be associated with a great group of people ... Ketsy commented to me how relaxed she was knowing we were there. Everyone chips in – no complaining about what needed to be done. You were so kind and caring to the folks who need it the most,” Gary W. Lee, CPA, commented to the Culpeper staff. The
Winchester Boys & Girls Club got a fresh coat of paint in their recreation room. A team of YHB staff went to work with paint and brush in hand at 9am Friday morning. By 2:30pm, they had the room painted and ready for fun. Dave Henning, a board member at the club and YHB Manager, Scott Moulden, Justin Hockman, Ryan McCauley, Drew Easter, Jonathan Motichka, Derek McCarty and Bridget Barker were the designated painters for the day.
