Yount, Hyde & Barbour, PC Announces Termination of Bob Soonthornchai, CPA
Winchester, Virginia (October 14, 2011) -- Yount, Hyde & Barbour, P.C. (YHB), one of the leading certified public accounting and business consulting firms in Virginia, announced today that Bob Soonthornchai, CPA, who worked exclusively in its Middleburg office, has been terminated from YHB due to improprieties in his handling of YHB funds and in one isolated client account. YHB has notified federal and other appropriate authorities, along with the Virginia Board of Accountancy.
YHB has effected Mr. Soonthornchai’s resignation from his duties and powers associated with his positions as Trustee and/or Executor of currently active client trusts and estates. Also, as a precautionary measure, YHB has removed Mr. Soonthornchai from signatory authority on its client bank and investment accounts.
YHB’s in-house and outside forensic auditors have conducted, and continue to conduct, a thorough, ongoing investigation of all client accounts and matters handled by Mr. Soonthornchai. In keeping with their high standards of excellence and integrity, YHB is committed to doing whatever is necessary to remedy any irregularity that is found.
