Winchester, Virginia - Yount, Hyde & Barbour continued our commitment to the nonprofit community as the featured lecturers at the February 19 workshop entitled “Form 990 and Financial Governance.”
Olivia Hutton, CPA, and Daria Rainieri, CPA, led the discussion to help the nonprofit group get better prepared for compliance, policies, and procedures. This preparedness needs to be in place for organizations to maximize performance. The workshop also detailed the substantive changes made recently to the Form 990. Samples were provided to the audience so that they may take home the symposium materials to reference.
The workshop was a great success. Comments such as “it was the best 990 presentation I have seen” and “we want you to serve on our board” resounded at the conclusion of the event.
The workshop was organized by NET (Nonprofit Education and Training), supporting the development of nonprofit organizations in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia.
One of the workshop organizers stated that the thing she most appreciates is our annual symposium. Yount, Hyde & Barbour hosts an annual symposium for our clients and friends of the firm.
